I love to sing. and Sinatra is one of my favorites. I was raised in Kentucky. I've met several big named country stars while was I promoting country & western show concerts for Southern Productions out of Nashville, with John and Jenny O'Neil from Knoxsville, Tenn. back in the 70's, so I love country music as well Sintra and Bennett. Many times my friend Donny Birch, and myself, have jammed all night, singing many of the songs I have uploaded here. Also, I have had the priviledge of working with some of Nashville's greatest. Such as Ernest Tubb, Sami Smith who sang her big hit to me on stage "Help Me Make It Through The Night" when she tricked me into bringing her guitar out to her during a show I promoted for her and Kenny Price "The Round Mound of Sound" of Hee Haw Fame. I worked with, Cal Smith, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Jr. to name a few But, I love all types of music. I hope you enjoy the music I have uploaded here on this eSnips site an much as I enjoyed singing them.
My Dream?
I'm getting a little long in the tooth, so many of my dreams have already come true.
But, I do hope to live to see my son find success and happiness in whatever he sets his hand to...in his life.
Whether it be music, art, or his persuit of his acting career. I hope he can continue to learn to focus on "giving" to others, rather than asking, or demanding material things from the world, which really mean very little in the end....
I hope he learns to give credit for the individually unique talents and learned skills of the educated, cultured, and kind people in the world. I especially I hope he learns the satisfaction one finds in helping others in need. I hope he can clearly learn to appreciate so many of the good things in life that all too easily can be taken for granted;
Thirdly, I hope he will continually strivie to appropriately deal with matters that prove not to be under an individual's control or even to one's liking. I hope he eventually learns the wisdom in the words.."to err is human...to forgive is divine."
And lastly, I hope he learns to recognize and accept the "cards of life" that each and every one of us are dealt to play that hand in the game of life to the best of one's abilities, without blaming others....and never giving up to..or wasting one's life in bitterness and resentment in any case. In short,,I hope he lives a life of peace, and learns to be a man of honor. And, I hope he always knows...he has always had, and forever will have...., my love.
Thanks, for listening to my music , and please feel free to leave a comment, it will be read and greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Sonny Martin/Hensley
